Day of Caring 2013:
Each year United Way of the Wine Country hosts an event called Day of Caring. Teams of volunteers from local businesses donate their time to work on improvement projects at local non-profits, parks and homes for the elderly.
This year we were honored to have two groups from Agilent come to work at both homes on September 11, 2013. Hurley House got 86’ of new fence in the backyard, newly painted doors, an improved parking spot and a fresh coat of paint in the entryway, hallway and office/staff bedroom. Benton House got a fresh new look with new interior paint throughout the house, new pickets on the front yard fence, a new back step and clean gutters.
